- BCS Appoints Jordan Theis to be our new Music Director

We are thrilled to share the news that we have asked Jordan to take on the role of Music Director and that he has accepted.
David Gibson, his predecessor, left the role at the end of March 2025, and while we udertook our search for a replacement, Ben Cooper led us magnificently as our Guest MD. But now, Jordan takes up his post from 10th September when we start work on preparing for our November concert.
We are all very excited and cannot wait for our audience to meet him in November

Dear alI’d like to start by thanking you al for your efforts yesterday, your hard work realy paid off, thank you for doing such a wonderful job. I received wonderful compliments about your singing, range of dynamics and enthusiasm. I realy hope that you al enjoyed yourself as much as I did!
I want to thank you also for the hard work that you have put in this term, and it has been a joy to lead your rehearsals. I realy hope that you have enjoyed your Wednesday evenings. Thank you for your realy generous gift, it wil be put to very good use at some of my favourite vineyards in Umbria this summer I’m sure!
I’d like to finish by wishing you al good luck as you move forward with the next chapter of Basingstoke Choral Society, I’m looking forward to hearing good things. I’ve told Tony to get in touch if I can help in the future, so I hope I’l see you al again in the future. A huge thank you again for a wonderful concert last night and for making my time with you so enoyable..
